Launched earlier this year, Sandbox is an Arts Incubator for emerging creatives from diverse backgrounds in Hong Kong to experiment with storytelling across writing, photography, illustration, and video. Over seven weeks, participants gathered at the Diversity Hub alongside Phirens Rai, Leeh Ann Hidalgo, and A Lit Fuse Productions to bring to life creative projects that speak to their hi(stories).

This exhibition marks the culmination of the 2025 Sandbox journey—where “drafts” become tangible, stories take shape, and creativity becomes a form of remembering. In line with this year’s Seated with Strangers theme, re: play, the exhibition invites us to return to our creative beginnings: to approach creation not as polished perfection, but as an ongoing, playful practice of curiosity, connection, and care.
